✿ A fun weekend and a transformation ✿

So last weekend I went to hang out with Pia (the BFF). This is sort of becoming standard procedure now that we're both back in the hometown and free most weekends. Usually we get in good food and some drinks and then settle down with some movies or whatever but this week I was feeling a girly night so she agreed to be my willing test subject for... a gyaru transformation (◕‿◕✿)

Truthfully I am a little nervous when it comes to doing other people's make-up even though it is basically my dream to do it for a job one day... So what better way to get more confident than practice on someone else? Of course I picked a style that I was familiar with but the look I went for was a little outside of her normal overall aesthetic. For those of you who don't know Pia, she normally goes for a little bit of a sexy retro 50s edge. But we decided we'd give her a sweet himekaji makeover.

tadaaaah, gratuitous sparkles of course

I used a Tsubasa Masuwaka make up tutorial for inspriation on her face and her hair is based off of a recent Shizuka Takeda look that I just adored! I think she looked reeeaally cute! If I ever do it again I need to get a stronger contour going (I'm always afraid of overdoing that part) and her hair should be biiiigger! But ah, I'd taken long enough and we had drinking to do.

Her dress also looks perfectly princessy (and although there's no pics of the shoes, she was wearing the cutest little floral heels too).

You may have noticed but, yes... Our best selfie was blurry... Well... The selfies kind of deteriorated into silliness...

Aaah, aren't we beautiful?? I'm wearing my trusty H&M tee again... And a new wardrobe addition, these super cool vintage shorts from Pia's wardrobe that she passed onto me after she put on weight and I lost some. They're that awesome cut that makes them look almost like a skirt when you're stood still. I love them and I think they'll look rad in a summer onee coord! (Especially with the huge retro trend that a few brands seem to be pushing for s/s). The bling is all hers, though, I felt so plain next to her so we added shiny things, haha.

Shortly after we'd recovered from laughing at our attempts at selfies we tried to play a Teen Wolf drinking game but couldn't even make it through two episodes.
I ah... I understimated how lethal the lacrosse rule would be in season 1...

It was fun to get made up even though it was only for a night in!

Valentine's Day is this week. My girlfriend has been rushing around organising lots of surprises and stuff apparently. I'm so excited but also a little nervous... I feel bad because I don't have anything spectacular planned because money. But I think it will also be nice to get treated like a princess...

Mostly I'm just looking forward to seeing her although I'll make sure I return with a full report of the princessy details and whether it was up to standard ( ̄へ ̄) (I'm kidding it will be wonderful <3)
